Every time you vote, you help the image slowly evolve from abstract shapes to look more like specific subjects. This is called artificial selection. As more images are born, images that fare badly are slowly phased out, simulating evolution.

This site is similar to Philipp Lenssen's Mutating Pictures, but slightly different. Rather than focusing on only faces or bodies, this site allows any kind of object or thing to be the subject of a picture. Users can branch off images of one type into a completely different subject.
